Putting it all on the Table...

Last Sunday at church Pastor Brad was talking about putting everything on the table or alter and giving it all to God.. Craig and I love our church and have Christ in our lives, but we haven't been tything. That changed this week, today we did out 10%Craig was worried cause we didn't have the money, but we have to have faith and know that we will be fine and will make it. So an hour later I was grocery shopping, I got two phone calls for photo sessions. I love seeing what God is doing in our lives.

Also on Monday, my car was on empty, and had no cash and needed to get all the kids from school and didn't know what I was going to do. I went and check the mail and I found a gift card for $50.00 and it was just what I needed, Praise God!!!
I was waiting for thif gift card for over 2mths but God knew I was going to need this on Monday and if it would have come before then it would have been spent.

Women Of Faith- Dallas

Friday morning I headed to the Women of Faith conf. with alot of amazing women from church. I have never experienced such amazing love for God, it was wonderful and to share that with over 12,000 women in one place was a true blessing. The speakers were funny, sad and hit the nail on the head so many times. The music by Natalie Grant and Mary, Mary was amazing.

Shelia Walsh is one of the funniest people I have ever heard, but it was a funny but not always a haha funny but an oh yeah I know that kinda of funny. She also put life into perspective for me and opened my eyes wider than they ever have been with a story about her son and playing hoops on Tuesday. It was about making the right choices. I realized I wasn't doing that, I was putting things and stuff before God and my family. I am so sorry to my family and I am making that change.

Also at the conf. we adopted a child from Brazil through World Vision. I can't wait to write her and her mom and get my first letter back from them, trust me I will be sharing that experience.

The first night, I go to know my room-mates alot more and I feel truely blessed to have such amazing women and friends in my life. I love seeing how much these three ladies love God, and how they put the right things in order in their lives. But they are human and have ups and downs in their lives. But it's how they get through it all that made me think and dig deeper into my life.

Busy Life

Summer has finally come to an end, and the crazy school life has begun. Charlie started the third grade, Alison the second grade and Lucas (our crazy exchange student, LOL) is in eleventh grade. So getting back into the swing of things and all the activities is an adjustment. So it's time for Brownie's, Cubscouts, Flag Football, Cheerleading, Soccer and PTA, busy but a great life..

Everyone is loving their classes, and school and that is a great way to start a new year. Charlie is excited about taking the TAKS test, and he said he was going to Ace it. He loves Reading and Math so he should do well. Alison is loving her class and she loves music class. Lucas is taking Art, Choie and Soccer along with the basics.

Pine Cove Camp, yeah!

My dad and stepmom gave the kids each a week at Pine Cove Camp. This is the week of fun, fun, fun and more fun. The kids look like and talk non-stop about how great it is. They are doing archery, rock climbing, bungee jump, bible study, baseball, etc etc.. and they love the waterslides. My dad and stepmom said that they are going to go back to Pine Cove for Winterfest (camp at Christmas break, for a weekend) and poss. a week next summer at the camp in Tyler.

Dinner with Stefano and his father, Carlos

Stefano is an exchange student from Brazil. I got to meet him when I picked him up from the airport back in January. His host father with the program was layed off from work, the week he was to arrive. I went and picked him up and took him to Wills Point to finally meet his host father (he had a meeting and couldn't make it to the airport). Stefano and Matheus hit it off just talking up a storm. When the program ended, Stefano went over to Dallas Baptist University for an english program. Well on the weekends he would sometimes come out and stay with us. Well his father, Carlos arrived in the USA to spend sometime with his son in Texas and then they were flying off to New York City, and then back home to Brazil. We know that this won't be the last time we see each other. It was a great time had by all, we all went to dinner and got to meet his dad and say our goodbye's... Have a safter flight home Stefano and Carlos....
