Great Weekend!

This was a super weekend~

Charlie went to school, then Alison. I came home and made 4 dz cupcakes for the school fall carnival. Went to the bank, had lunch with Craig (gotta love the hubby). Went to pick up Alison and then head to the school to get Charlie. They both had a super day and Charlie one a free ice cream for turning in money he found on the playground. We came home and got things ready for the fall carnival and silent auction. We leave and Craig is going to meet us with his truck and trailor for the hay ride. I worked the silent auction and then Pepaw and Grammy made it there. Alison won a cupcake, Charlie through pies in the teachers faces~ life was grand. Pepaw and Grammy won 2 of the baskets "The Chocolate" and "Ice Cream Social" and then Craig and I won the Young Chef Academy Basket for 2 children. We say our goodbyes and head home and we have two children that passed out faster than anything.

Saturday I get up and take the kids to my grandmothers while I am at a photo session at the Dallas Arbo. for a family that just adopted a little girl, I did this today on behalf of "Celebrate Adoptions" it was a great session and a wonderful family. Afterwards I go and pick up the kids and my grandmother and we head to our house. She stayed the night with us. I made cakeballs, and dips and so forth for Sunday. Later we watched "Elizabethtown" it was a pretty cute movie.

Sunday we get up and clean the house, and get ready for the family and friends coming for Charlie's birthday party. It was fun, Charlie got tons of stuff from money, clothes, remote control truck and so on. Charlie and Alison played outside almost all day and finally got them to come in and eat dinner and take baths and great ready for school tomm.

All in all it was a super weekend.

Can't wait!

Attention all Walmart Shoppers~ NOT, LOL

My son got to go to Walmart with Amma & Andy and he got to pick out what he wanted for his birthday. Well Charlie said he wanted the Cowboy and Indian Handcuffs. My mom said I don't know if your mom would want you to have those, when my son spoke up saying it's ok cause my mommy and daddy have a pair, SHOCKING, and so untrue! We don't have handcuffs, that is not our style, now all those people in Walmart are thinking so different. LOL, he is our clown...

My Charlie "Wildman" is now 6yrs old!

It is hard to believe that 6yrs ago I was in Memorial City Hospital having the wildman. And now he is in school and doing great and turning more and more into a little man.. This morning Craig stayed home and we made cinnamon rolls (his favorite thing) and we had breakfast together as a family. Then Craig leaves for work and I take Charlie to school, we took cupcakes for snack at school today. He was so excited that today is his birthday and everyone was fussing over him. Today I am going shopping for his gift, Alison is going to get him something as well. Last night we gave him "jenga" but this one is yellow, red and blue and you roll the dice and have to pick what ever color you landed on, this was a blast!!

Super Day!

I love Thursday and when it is MOPS. I get so much from my mops group. It is such a nice fellowship and brunch with a great group of ladies. Today we made some nice journal books, and I think I am going to make some Charlie and Alison's teachers.
After MOPS Alison and I went and saw my dad (her pepaw) and it was nice to see him. He has been working alot and I haven't got the chance to see him in awhile.
I rushed over to pick up Charlie and he won a Gator bracelet and an award for great Behavior for the first 6wks. Then Charlie and Alison and I went to check out a preschool program for Alison as I am going to be subbing at Charlie's school. Then we are off to ballet. We paid for her recital costume and she is on the front row for the performance and she is excited about that and the fact that she is getting a emerald green tutu for the recital.
It's dinner time and a busy day so off for a healthy fast food at Subway, and home for baths and getting ready for bed. All is quiet in the Simmons House!

Another Sick Day in the Simmons household..

It started with Alison, then Charlie with Croup, then myself with Bronchitis and now Craig has it. He felt bad on Friday and then came home on Saturday after work and went straight to bed at 7:30 p.m. and then we went to the pumpkin patch yesterday and when we came home he felt warm and sure enough he has a fever and stayed home today sick... Nothing like have a grown man sick... I think they whine to whine... He slept most of the day on the couch and he did get up to eat and go with Ali and I to pick up Charlie from school. He is now sitting on the couch watching T.V. I feel bad and just give him a hard time, all in fun...

Today in the mail Alison got a shirt from our friend Jackie and her two children Nicholas and Cassidy from our "Labor Goes On" mommy board (part of the shirt swap, sending a shirt from somewhere in your town) well they live in Penn. and this is Alison's shirt from Hershey, Penn. Alison is head over heals in love. She also got another shirt from the Donut Shop that she says she is wearing tomm.

Big Day!

Today started off at 8am, taking Craig for a recheck at the eye dr. On Thursday he got something in his eye and by morning he was in major pain. He couldn't open it, so we took Charlie to school and headed to his parents for some eye drops to try and flush it out. Nope that didn't work so off to the eye dr. Well he had some piece of sand or metal in his eye. It is finally out and it healing. So why we were there Craig and I got our eyes check and we both needed glasses and they will be in on the 15th, great getting older and can't see! Then off to but 2 chairs for Charlie and Alison who were going to the drive in with their Pepaw and Grammy. We meet Craig's dad at Conn's who bought a new tv and we wanted to make sure of what he was getting and so forth, nice tv by the way!! Then we are off to now meet my father and stepmom for lunch, yummy!!! Gloria's Mexican Food, it was a nice lunch. I was even nice and paid!! That's right I can be nice!! Heck he is going to Disney with me and my family that is the least I could do, lol..... Then off to get Craig's medicine, rush back to Craig's parents to help setup the new tv and then rush back to our house change and off to take photos of a friends wedding (My first wedding to do) man I am tired, we had to be there at 5:00 and we got home at 11:30! What a long day, tomm I am getting up (I hope around 10) God willing! Run some errands, mow the yard and pickup the kids, we were going to go to the State Fair but maybe we can convince the kids to go to the Pumpkin Patch instead, I can hope, right? Tomm. I haven't post in awhile and I am sorry. I had Alison sick one week, Charlie last week with Croup and this week it is my with ear infections, sinus infection and bronchitis (sp?) this week. Life has been busy still even with everyone sick and so forth.

Myself~Last Friday, I had a photo session with Alison's preschool and had 20+ children "Fall Photos". I am still working on those. This Friday and Saturday I have a wedding and reh. party. I am excited about this. I also just had another wedding and a company staff photos of another 20+ people. I also have 4 regular sessions and 1 with Celebrate Adoptions. So my business is doing great and taking off like wild fire!!

Charlie is doing super in school, all great marks and great behavior. Friday is the parent/teacher conf. I am sure that will go well as well. I work at Charlie's school a couple days a week and we are getting ready for his/our 1st PTA meeting and Hot Dog Supper. We have his school Fall Festival and Silent Auction coming up....
Alison is starting to talk more and more and a little more clearer. She is going to school Pre-K two days a week and she loves her class and her teacher. Ali is happy there is finally another girl in her class besides the 5 boys. Alison is also in ballet and tap and I think this is her true calling she does wonderful! When she is at home she is dancing and singing NON-STOP!!! She has a best friend "Alyssa" who is one day younger and they play together every single day.

Craig is doing great at work and his loves his new work. I think Craig is loving the AC Shop, lol. I love to see Craig happy, making new and more friends. I will let Craig update more on him, he has school 3 days this month, talk about easy money.. lol

We are planning out "First Official Family Vacation" we are leaving in December for Walt Disney World. We are excited that my dad and wonderful step-mom are coming to have a magical time with us. My step-brother was going to try and go but we are going to plan another vacation with all of us for next year.

For now I am excited and planning to go to Houston in October and November. I am going to go and help my BFF Michelle paint the her daughter and soon to be born son's room. Charlie and Alison are excited to go and see Taylor. We are also going to go and see my grandfather "Charles" who has alzheimer's and is not remembering things at all for the most part, of course he has his good and bad days. And then in November I am heading back down for the birth of Caleb Joseph (I can't wait)!!!!!!!!

Well I think that should have everyone up to date with us, till later!
