Gaylord Texan and ICE~

Yes I know there are a ton of photos, but it's because we had a TON OF FUN!!! I am truely worn out but had a ton of fun. We get to the Gaylord, and head in and WOW OH WOW, this place is amazing.. There is so much to see. We are looking everywhere and taking photos, and then we head to the ICE, and Paula went and bought Fast Passes, which means we get in without waiting in the LONG LINE, and we get to meet the Grinch and free hot cocoa and free parking. So we go and get our Parka Coats on and in we go, it's a freezing 9* inside, amazing and breathing ice carvings.. We do the ICE Slide, brrr... We finish looking at ICE and head and get our hot cocoa, and pick up out photo they took when we got their, too cute for words (need to scan it). And then we walk some more and head to lunch, can we say YUMMO!!! ANd then on to look some more before leaving. It was a great time had by us all... thanks Pepaw and Paula!!!

Yummy Dinner with the Men!

Tonight Craig, Matheus and I went to Ghengis Grill for a nice dinner since Charlie & Alison aren't home. It was nice to go and sit and talk. And nothing beats some yummy Ghengis.. And some time with the guys.. I am one lucky person!!

Now we are home and doing laundry and getting ready for tommorrow... Ready for some Gaylord and ICE..

SNOWING again and I am in Heaven. It's so beautiful, I love all the white flurries. It's so relaxing and calming.. Time to put on some nice warm jammies, make some coffee, turn on the fireplace and relax and enjoy the snow..

Lunch with the Hubby~

Today after I meet my stepmom to drop off Charlie and Alison for their fun with them. I went and met Craig for lunch. We haven't gotten to go to lunch just us for some time. It was nice and we are going to start meeting for lunch once a week again. We went to Scotty P's, I had a great Turkey Burger with Blue Cheese and he had a double Stack burger and we shared some fries. It was great, love my time with the hubby.. He so rocks!!!

Really more snow??

The news is calling for more snow, this is truely a weird winter so far. Normally we get snow in late Jan- early Feb. But if it snows it will be the third time.. I am so loving it, the kids love it. They will play outside all day if I would let them. But man they sleep great after the long day of playing.

I can breath, and relax..

The weekend of a million Christmas's are finally over as of today...LOL... It's crazy how many Christmas we have to attend.

Christmas Eve~ Dinner at our house with my dad and stepmom
Christmas Day~ Santa and Christmas at our house
Then it's off for lunch with the inlaws and Christmas with them
And then to end the day back at my dad's with his side of the family.
Day After Christmas~ Christmas at my Brother and SIL's
2 days after~ RELAX at home, I am sick and ended up at the hospital from 10-2am
3 days after~ Christmas from Cassie and Brian and then my stepbrother and his
girlfriend Jessica.

ALL DONE and ready for the New Year.

I am feeling much better today, and got some cleaning done at the house today and more tonight and now I am going to sit back and relax. But I need to pack Charlie & Alison a bag, as they are going to my dad and stepmoms on Tuesday-Thursday and going to play with their cousin Lucas.

And then on Wednseday I am meeting them and Matheus and I and the gang are heading to the Gaylord Texan for lunch, walking and then Gaylord ICE....CAN'T WAIT!!!!

We were talking to Matheus just minutes before about the ice. And we were filming Charlie who was making snowballs and caught Matheus... He is fine and we all laughed.. He sat and watched it over and over, as well as us.. He now knows to be real careful on the ice..

Merry Christmas~Feliz Natal 2009

Merry Christmas~Feliz Natal to everyone. We still have a beautiful White Christmas, it's beautiful... Charlie and Alison couldn't wait to go to bed so that Santa could come and drop of the presents. Matheus was the same way.. He said that he was going to get up at 5, well that didn't happen at all.. Around 8 Charlie came running into our room, saying SANTA WAS HERE, SANTA WAS HERE... So up we were and into the living room to open presents. Matheus got a big remote control Dodge Ram Truck (he keeps saying that he wants a real one, well that is the closest he is going to get right now, lol) He also got a Ipod Docking Station for his Ipod, Ipod Gift Card, Ipod Holder for working out, and much more. Charlie got a big Lego Space Ranger set, Wii Games (Batman and Majhong) Robe and Slippers and much more. Alison got Twinkle Toes Shoes, Robe and Slippers, Barbie, Clothes, Tiger Alive and also much more. Then we gave Craig some new clothes and he has 1 more thing coming (just not here yet, dangit)...The kids and Craig surprised me with a Ipod Touch and Ipod Card. Matheus got Charlie a Knex Roller Coaster, ALison a Dress, bows and some belts, Craig a watch and myself a beautiful photo frame that says family with a photo of Matheus, Charlie and ALison in it...I LOVE IT!!! It was a very Merry Christmas.

A White Christmas Eve~

It's Christmas Eve and the snowing coming down and has been for over 4hours. There is snow on the ground but it also comes with a ton of wind, 25-40mph. It was so nice to see all the beautiful white snow..

My dad and stepmom came up here for Chrsitmas Eve.. We made Tamales, Rice, Beans, homemade Salsa, Guacamole, and tons of yummies to munch on. We exchanged presents with them. Alison was excited she got a Our Generation Horse for her American Girl Doll, a Horse Painting Set. Charlie got Wii Indidana Jones 2 Games, and a model Airplane and Matheus got something he loves Cash...

We watched "Christmas Story" a american christmas classic, that you have to watch every year.

Then they left for their long drive home in the ice and snow.

A White Christmas In Texas~

Since about 12 noon, it's been snowing. And it's windy as all get out and cold as can be. We are now at 29*F (0* C) but we are enjoying what seems like the First White Christmas since 1975 (at least according to the news)... Which was my first Christmas. Got to love Christmas Vacation~

It's nice to be able to not get up so early and rush to get out the door. Kids are relaxing, watching Christmas shows, helping with the baking, shopping and so forth. We have made Fudge, Cheese Olive Balls, Candy and much more. I got the Tamales for Christmas Eve, my dad and stepmom are coming up and we will head to church for Christmas Eve Services, come home, eat and open some presents. If the kids are all good then that night Santa will come and we will have Christmas Morning. Christmas with the in-laws and then Christmas with my brother and my mom's side of the family. I think the boys are bored, but when you ask them what they want to do, I get told NOTHING, whatever... Silly boys... I am ready for a long weekend with the hubby and then the following week with my best friend and her family. It will be fun shooting fireworks and welcoming in the New Year with them, haven't gotten to do that in many years...

Well I am off to get groceries for the last time for this year. Wish me luck, and I hope I don't forget anything...I made a list and checked it twice, but with my luck I will forget something, always do..

Alison is something else...

Today Alison, Charlie and I were watching a Christmas movie when all of the sudden she tells me that God was sitting on my couch. You never know what she will ever say or do. So I guess God wanted to watch a movie with us... Nice to know how close he is..

12yrs ago today....

12 years ago today Craig asked me out on our First Date. It's amazing how time flies, it really doesn't seem like it's been that long ago. Okay well some days it does but for the most part it doesn't. Our first date was going to look at Christmas lights, and every December 21st we have gone and looked at Christmas Lights. I love the tradition we have, and it's our night, no kids just us.. So I am looking forward to our night to look at the lights.

Texas Land and Cattle (yummy)

Saturday was Craig's Company Christmas Party at Texas Land and Cattle. It was amazing!! We got there and they had the party room all set up. Appetizers on the tables, we were all told to order anything we wanted, they brought us drinks. Craig had a Fillet and myself I had to ribeye, they were amazing. After talkng and eating they came by with some amazing desserts. Craig had the Brownie and Ice Cream and myself, the Bourbon Pecan Pie that was mouthwatering!!! I could just eat the pecans and been happy, that was great!!! Then the company gave the bosses their gifts and then the Charles (the owner passed out Christmas Cards) and before we all left they took photos of each couple. I truely feel that God had a plan and it was for Craig to be there at this company. It is nice to see a company that really does care for everyone in the company. We got to our car and opened up the Christmas card, and wow for the first time since Craig and I have been together, he got a Christmas bonus. Craig was very moved, and we are truely blessed. What an amazing party, and a great way to end the week. So we went Christmas shopping for the kids and enjoyed some time together, we got home and we wrapped presents for under the tree..

Already been 4mth~

WOW, I can't believe it but it's been four months since Matheus has arrived. It doesn't seem like it's been that long, but I am sure to his family it does. Matheus is truely a wonderful blessing to our family. It makes me kinda of sad to a point cause he is just that much closer to going back home. It's not something that Craig or I want to think of at all. Matheus is truely a member of our family. We all love him so very much.

Tonight we took the kids to see the Frisco Lights and Santa. It was a nice and cool 49* night. First thing we to see Santa and listen to the Christmas music. After Santa we headed to the fountains, just like last year to take a family photo. We then just walked around and ended our night at the Cupcake store and had a yummy cupcake. It was a nice night with my amazing family....

Happy Hubby!

It's Christmas time and it is time to make the hubby some yummy Bourbon Balls. To him it's not Christmas time until they are made. So last night at the store we got all the stuff to make them. After I put the boys down for their naps off to the kitchen I went and made him 3 dz of the little things. I will so have a happy hubby later tonight, and to me the funny part is that Craig doesn't ever drink but he loves the Bourbon Balls, silly Craig.

Bourbon Balls

1 pkg (12oz) Vanilla Wafers Crumbs
1 cup Chopped Pecans
1 cup Confectioners Sugar
2 Tbs. Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1.2 cup Bourbon
1/4 cup Light Corn Syrup
1/2 cup Grandulated Sugar (for Decoration)

* Mix all ingredients except for the Granulated Sugar.
* Shape into 1 inch balls and roll in granulated sugar.
* Store in tightly covered container.
