Yeah! We got choosen for a Hot Wheel House Party!!

We got choosen for a Hot Wheel House Party, we can't wait to get our package in the mail and host our party, already sent out the evites for the party.

Not alot going on~

There isn't alot going on here. The kids are both going to a VBS in the evening. They seem to really enjoy it and are very tired and worn out when they get home, and they aren't getting up till around 9:45-10 in the morning, mommy likes... LOL... I am finishing up the last minute stuff before Matheus arrives. I am ready for the weekend, but was really hoping to go to Houston but it didn't work out, and I know that everything happens for a reason, and I need to go with that. I am sure the kids and I will end up at the movies, they are wanting to see Aliens in the Attic (and we promised Craig we wouldn't see G-Force without him, lol)...

Oops I forgot to post my countdown, but here is todays!

One more day closer!

Getting closer!

Gotta to love the Rain

It is all green/dark here today. Which means only 1 thing, it's going to storm. I knew better than to take Charlie to VBS in weather like this, they would have called me to come and get him (he freaks out in bad weather). It is thundering and lightening big time, so much that out power keeps going off and on. Everytime the power goes out Charlie freaks out. He is finally calm and watching a movie with Alison. We so needed some rain and I think the yard is doing a happy dance.

Fun day with Charlie~ (Mother/Son Day)

Today, Charlie and I headed to lunch at "On the Border" and it was a great lunch and loved talking to my big guy. And then we headed over to the theater to watch "Harry Potter and Half Blooded Prince" it was a great movie. And we only jumped out of our seats one time, LOL scared us both. After lunch he kept asking where we were going and I wouldn't tell him, I went to Petco and got a new hamster, since our's died on Tuesday. We got a cute little white one with brown markings. In the car I asked him what we were going to name her, and he said Mia. He named her for his sister's who loves Momma Mia, see he can be very sweet, it was an awww moment. And then we made one more stop for our favorite spot, the Cupcakery... We got home and made fajitas for dinner and now the guys are at the some Tractor pull... Boys! LOL....

Finally a great day, glad that the week is over!!

Alison's fun day with Grammy (Grammy's mom & Dad)

This weekend was Alison's turn to stay with Pepaw and Grammy, so Grammy came up yesterday to have dinner with us and go and watch Alison at Dance. Afterwards they headed east, and were home with pepaw. They played makeup and hairdresser. Today they went shopping for new school shoes and then they headed to Grammy's mom and dad's place.. Alison got to feed the horse, feed the chickens, and collect the eggs (which she is happy to bring home tommorrow), play with the rooster, the goose, dog and everything else. Paula's mom bought her a Hannah Montana Umberellls, which made her day. And then they headed to the costume shop and bought her a fancy dress which Alison said she is going to wear to the father/daughter dance when she is 19yrs old... I am thinking she is having a blast...

Prayers for my grandpa "Chuckle Wuckle aka Papaw:

I know deep down he will be in a better place and I prayed that God took him peacefully. But I just don't want to let him go. This man is so special to me.

I call him everytime their is a full moon, cause when I was 2, my grandparents and I went for a walk one evening and I told them I don't like whole moons cause they make me feel funny inside. He is the same way, when I lived in Houston I could call him on a whole moon night and say hay lets go driving and get ice cream and we did... The kids call him and howl at him on whole moon nights.

I call him Chuckle Wuckle (I don't like the name Chuck and he would call Charlie that to bug me) and I would always say goodbye by kissing him on the cheek and then blow a raspberry and he would have this chuckle that I will never forget.

He was so honored when I named Charlie after him, I have only told him my 1st son would be Charlie since I was younger than Charlie.

Happy Birthday Miguel (Matheus father)

Just wanted to wish Miguel a happy birthday from the Simmons Family. Hope you had a wonderful party with family and friends..

Ready for the Weekend~

I have hated this week, I think I need to either slow down or get tested for Alzheimers. I have taken my kids to two different VBS one was the wrong week and one was the wrong place. THe news of my grandfather, and the hospice. On Tuesday I drive to Addison for a market research, only to find out it's next Tuesday. This is so crazy. Then the hamster died.

This has been a week that I am ready for it to be over. I am truely ready for the weekend.. Alison is in Dance Camp and Friday is her showoff, so my dad and stepmom are coming up to watch and taking Alison home with them, as she says it's HER TURN.. Charlie, Craig and I are going to go and see Harry Potter.

We are stilling finishing up things here at the house, and waiting for Matheus to arrive. We love that we can chat with him by MSN and call on the phone. We kinda get to know him a little more and more. Matheus seems like a wonderful teen, and an amazing family. I have seen his mom, aunts, stepdad and brothers.. Gotta love the Webcam! Only 18 more days..

Cool Beans!

We got to talk by web-cam for 2hrs (and also a 20min phone call to Brazil) with Matheus. We are trying to change the date of arrival from the 19th to the 10th of August!!! It was great to be able to talk to him, his mom, and see his brother, mom, stepdad and of course Matheus. It's cute to see him wave to the kids and smile. So hopefully soon I will get all the details on the flight and will have Matheus home with us soon! (off to change the ticker, countdown has changed)

Countdown!

NEW DATE!!!!!

Prayers for my Grandpa Charles~

I got a message today stating that my Grandpa is now under hospice. My heart is breaking, I know that his time is truely numbered. I am trying to brace myself for the end, but how does someone truely do that? I just want him to not suffer anymore that he has.

They did a great job and now they are drying.

Today after church Charlie and I headed out for the day just us. We started our day with "Little Shop of Horrors" at the Bass Hall in Fort Worth. After the intermission there were Zombies and they scared the crud out of Charlie. They would follow you around and just look and stare. When we came back in, but before the second act they did "Thriller" it was great! The play was amazing and Charlie loved it!!! After the show we meet the actors and actresses and they signed his play bill and took photos with him. He thought that was great!! Now it was time for lunch, and I surprised him and and treated him to the Rain forest. Great late lunch/Dinner. And we got the Volcano for dessert. And then it was time for the grocery store and some school supplies. Great day, with my great little man!!

Weekend VBS

Both Charlie & Alison started a weekend VBS, got to love that. They had a blast tonight and they can't wait to go tommorrow. Which works great since I am shooting a wedding this weekend and they won't be bored. They talked about how much they had tonight at dinner. We thought we would try the new Hungry Bear by our home and we weren't to impressed, had to ask everytime for a refill and she wouldn't refill it to the top it was 3/4 full and then we never saw her again. They had a band tonight as well and they were LOUD, bigtime! But we ate and got home and they kids went to bed and now after editing some photos, and so forth it's time for me to say goodnight as well..

Circus Time!

I am so excited, in August we are heading the circus!!! We picked up our tickets this afternoon from the American Airlines (the kids got a free ticket for reading 10books at the Library) and we are sitting in the center on the 6th row!!!! Great seats, and going to be a great time at the Circus!!!!

I love my hubby and children~

I think I am truely blessed with a wonderful husband, and two beautiful and amazing children.. The question is how did I get so lucky, what did I do right? I thank God for giving them to me. It's funny how my husband can make my life complete, and make my heart still skip a beat after all the years.. We have been together since December 1997. I love how he never forgets to kiss me goodbye in the morning, kiss me when he gets home (always before anything) and always ends a phone conversation with "I love you". Know how to cheer me up when I am sad or mad. And then there is my two children, who make me a mom. I love to hear their giggles, and playing with each other and acting like parents (LOL:) and the sweet hugs and I love you's. I am truely a blessed person to have such a wonderful family.. I love my dates with my husband, my children and together as a family. I can't imagine my life without all three of them in it. Family is so important and dear to me, and I love my family.

Funny Girl~

Tonight I took Alison out, since Craig had some calls to make and Charlie was staying over at his best friends. So we headed to the library to turn in our reading log and check out some book on Brazil. And the we headed to dinner at Chili's. It was nice to just go out and talk with my daughter.. She is so funny. God knew what he was doing by blessing us with her. I am so lucky. Well on the way out she tripped and those that know Alison know that this is a normal every day and sometimes several times at day thing. She gets up and get in the truck and she say's mom, "I so need to marry a doctor" and she was so serious.. I tried my hardest not to laugh but I couldn't.. She really does!! And then we ran to Walmart and then home and now she is asleep.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Just want to say Happy Birthday Daddy! I love you and I hope you had a super and wonderful birthday, we all love you!!! xoxoxo

Little Shop of Horrors

Sunday afternoon I will be having a date with my sweet wild-child Charlie. We are going to go and see "Little Shop of Horror's". We finally went and picked up our tickets. Craig and I are really trying to make dates with our children one on one and then together. Sometimes we need that time with our children and make them feel special and the center of our world. So now it's a countdown till Sunday!

Matheus!

After talking and so forth, we decided to host an exchange student. So in August we will be going to the airport to pick up Matheus. We are just waiting on the high school to approve the admission, I speak to the asst. principal on Monday.. Anyways, Matheus is 15 (16 on September 30) he is from Natal, Brazil. He loves soccer and tennis and wants to play tennis here at the high school. After reading all the letters from him and one from his parents, they seem like a very close family. Which is a great thing!!!! Anyways we are so excited and can't wait to meet Matheus!!

I am having a hard time today, I am trying to do what is best for myself and my family and I get the same ole stuff thrown in my face. I hope you don't regret your choices, you claim to be a christian and I am breaking one of the commandments about they mother and they father and that I need to forgive. I do forgive. But God gave me common sense enough that I don't need to touch fire to know that it's fire. There is only enough that one person can take, handle. You don't have to like or agree with my choice but you need to show me the respect and respect my choices.

4th of July (dinner, theater & fireworks)

Happy 4th of July, we took the kids to eat at the West End at Spaghetti Warehouse then is was off to the show, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. It was great to see my children so excited and happy. Before the show they could look over and see the orchestra warming up, they both thought that was pretty amazing. I kept watching them and their faces. The smiles, the laughs and the excitement was so cute to watch. Made me tear up a couple of times. During the intermission they threw coins into the wishing well. After the amazing show we headed outside to watch the fireworks at the Cotton Bowl. Next to us outside was the cast of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Alison walked over to them and asked them to sign her playbill, and one of the actors walked her to everyone and got all of their signatures. After the fireworks we headed home and which we got to see the amazing fireworks in Frisco. It was a super day with my amazing family.. Tomm buying Alison & I's tickets to see Mama Mia!!
