Planning our Summer~

Every year I will sit down with the calendar and find summer camps, VBS, concerts and everything I can find to make it a FUN and Pretty much free and busy summer for the kids, and I am almost done for this summer!!! The kids are excited cause they will be seeing again, I think for the 4th summer in a row, the amzing children christian group "God Rocks" they can't wait.... We will have Movie days, music and soccer camp and so so much more...

Not much longer till I am the mom of a 1st and 2nd grader, where did the time go, seems like they were just born! sniff sniff...

Also have to get my tickets for "Women of Faith" I can't wait and Monette and Kristi are wanting to go as well...

No School All Week~

Well we are enjoying an extra week of vacation since the Swine Flu is everywhere, the entire district is closed untill next monday. Hmm now what to do with two children who are getting bored. Today Kristi and the kids came over, tomm I am doing photos for Hayley and Wednesday lunch with my dad, their Pepaw. Other than that we are playing it day by day. We will see what all we can get into...

Natalie Grant Concert (TONIGHT)

I am so excited, Monette and I are heading to the Natalie Grant tonight, it's a private concert and then tomm. is here open to the public concert.. I hope to get some great photo's as well.. I love her music..

Fireproof Your Marriage~

This past weekend we went to a Fireproof Retreat, and Craig and I really love the movie and we are doing the 40 day "Love Dare". We talk about Parasites that are in our lives and how we need to rid them to save ourselves and our marriage. I know that alot of people deal with pornography, alchol, drugs and other addictions, but that isn't ours. Mine is my mom and that is sad that she is my parasite, a mom shouldn't be that way. But with the stress and the lies that are done to me by her, the stress gets to me and I bring that into my marriage and that isn't right. I finally had to say enough and that my marriage and my family mean more than the junk that I was allowing myself to go through with her, it's not that I don't love my mom, but I love my family more. Finally I had to just not anwser the phone, respond to her text messages, block her emails, remove her from my blog, and block her on facebook, change passwords all to make sure that I keep her away. I have said this before but I think I was doing it cause someone said I should, I needed to grow more and open my eyes to the truth and be done with her myself.

Gotta love the Rain~ It's coming!!

I think I am the odd child, I love the rain, thunder and lightning. I remember as a child laying in my parents bed and the window blinds pulled all the way up and just sitting there and watching it all, see all the neat patterns in the sky. I wish I could get Charlie to see all of that, he is so scared of the thunderstorms. I am sitting here just waiting for it, it's not to far away, you can already smell in in the air.

I can also remember my great grandma "Ma Tanner" telling me that it was God's bowling night and he was getting alot of strikes!

Fireproof Your Marriage Retreat

This weekend Craig and I headed up to Glen Rose, Texas to the Riverbend Retreat Center for a Fireproof Your Marriage Couples Retreat. Our kids went to my dad and stepmom's for a fun filled weekend as well. We get in and unpack and then it's some icebreaker games and get to know each other. It was funny, we had to blindfold our husbands and put lipstick on them and they had to kiss a piece of paper and make a Heart with their kisses.. Then we played some games and talked and finally got to bed after 12. Saturday morning started early, we got up around 6:45-7 and got dressed and we had breakfast at 8, and then we watched the movie "Fireproof" and then we had some sessions, lunch, free time (where we went hiking and down to the river) and then dinner and then couples time, where we had to ask some questions to each other, then it was back for another session and the a Guys/Girls Session and then some time for games and chatting.. Sunday we got up early, had breakfast, worship servie, and then a session and clean up and pack up and then headed into Glen Rose to share a yummy bbq lunch with each other before heading home.

Craig and I really enjoyed the weekend, and being together and learning more and more to keep our strong marriage strong. Also knowing each others love language helps as well. We are already planning another weekend away just the two of us, we need to make more time for us. We are more than mom and dad, and we have to take care of us. Now it's time for the 40 day love dare challenge!
