We went and saw daddy at work yesterday and had lunch (I had a fender bender on the way to eat, everyone is fine and it's just a cosmetic issue with the bumper).

The kids were playing and modeling. Charlie was helping his dad work on a truck, which he loves to do. Alison just wanted to show off her skirt.

Another Weekend has come and gone~

This weekend I had a work conf. for JP Morgan Chase Backup Centers and it was alot of fun.. but, this was also the weekend that Craig had to work. Thanks for my father, he took Charlie and Alison for Friday night. Charlie and Alison were happy with that, I meet my dad and he took them both to go and see "The Water Horse", which later I was told that it was a great movie. Craig and I went to dinner on Friday night, scary just mommy and daddy time. Saturday morning Craig and I both get up and get ready for his work and my conf. Craig went to breakfast with some co-workers and I drove by and on my way to the conf and he had coffee and fresh fruit waiting for me to go (so sweet!). Get to the conf. and we had breakfast, speakers, classes, lunch, large group, tour of another JP Morgan Chase Backupcenter. It was a super day! Then back to the hotel at DFW for Dinner and awards. It was alot of fun.... Sunday morning back to more classes and so forth, we were done at 1:30. Glad to be back home. Charlie and Alison were happy to see me. Also Ali finally got her petticoat and she loves it and may never take it off!

A Super Weekend!

Saturday morning I got up and went to the grocery store (8am). While I was gone Craig and the kids got up and cleaned the carpet upstairs. Then it was off to make breakfast, and Tim and Monette and there children came over for breakfast, gotta love Pancakes, Eggs and Bacon... yummy.. We all hung out and talked and put together puzzles. It was a great morning.
We finally put up all the Christmas stuff (sick all last week, and weekend). Cleaned the house.
My mom and Andy came over for dinner, finally.. There were suppose to come at 3 and ended up finally getting here at 5:30.

Sunday we spent the day with Craig's parents. We had to help move Craig's great grandfather's bookcase from the storage to his parents house. Then we got Alison's great great grandmother's old dresser/vanity for her room. Now all we need is a bed for her room (well a new bed that will match the dresser). Then we went to lunch, then off to Best Buy (Got a Gift card for Christmas) and to the Fish Gallery (finally opened since the fire, the did a great job on the new store, gotta love looking a fish and it's free to do) and then back to his parents to take the bookcase in the house and set it up. After all that we went out for dinner and then back home.

I think it was a super and busy weekend, got alot of things done off the TO DO LIST!!! We are getting there.

Not the best way to start the NEW YEAR~

Friday Jan 4th, Was a weird day... Monette and Tim's children came over and hung out while they went out for dinner.. They got back around 10:30 or so and they all went home and Craig and I with Charlie and Alison played "Trouble" and then BAM I started getting the chills, so bad that I couldn't even open the tylenol bottle. Craig came and helped me and I was running a fever of 101.7 and I went to bed.

Saturday Jan 5th, I only felt worse. I called my dad and step-mom and talked with them and they came and brought me some stuff to make me feel better, Craig was at work and Monette came and took the children. (it's great having super friends that help you out when you need it). Through the day I stayed on the couch and still had the chills all day, I couldn't get warm to save my soul.. I tried to eat some Chicken Noodle Soup and well let's just say that wasn't a great idea.. The only thing to stay down was the water or ginger ale. I felt worse and worse through the day. Craig went and got the kids and came home and I went to bed.

Sunday Jan 6th, I think I am going to die.. I have never felt this bad in my life. I went to Care Now and was told the reason I feel so bad is: Flu, Strep Throat, Double Ear Infection. Yeppers I am sick and I am down for the count. I came back home and into the bed I went.. Still can't eat anything. At night I seem to be at my worse, the chills, can't breathe. and so on. Asthma kicked in, and very sick to stomach

Monday Jan 7th, yeppers still sick.. Craig stayed home and took Charlie to school. Alison chilled out with me for awhile then Monette came and let her play with Megan and Logan. Craig took off work to go and pick up Charlie from school and took him to work with him (charlie loved that).

Tuesday Jan 8th, starting to feel a little better but going slow. I finally ate some grilled chicken and salad. Fever is gone! Feeling more like me again..

Wednesday Jan 9th, I go back to work, Charlie and Alison at Monette's, life is getting back to normal.

No more sickness in this house, please!!

Sad Phone Call~

(Pat and his sprite and m&m's were always by his side, and I will now watch Hogan Hero's for you) miss you!

I just recieved a phone call from my former boss, whom I was a nanny for four years. They were more than my boss's they were my family. Pat and Lisa where there for me when I was getting divorced, when I got remarried (there sweet son John was my ringboy) when Craig and I suffered our miscarriage, and the birth of our children whom they are the Godparents of Alison. Lisa called to let me know that Patick passed away several weeks ago. He was taken back to Chicago for the funeral. It is so shocking to know that he isn't around. Kinda bittersweet, he loved Walt Disney World and always told me that I need to go and here we just got back and never knew that he passed away. My heart, prayers go out to Lisa and their son John and all of their family.

Not a great New Year so far!

Six Flags Over Texas with the Simmons and Wright Family

We all went to Six Flags over Texas with some friends (wanted to go one more time before our Season Passes expire, might have to renew them). Anyways when we got home we were all worn out. I kept waking up during the night, feeling a massive sore throat coming on. Charlie was complaining that his throat hurt as well. Called our friends and the same thing for them. We were suppose to go to there place for New Years Eve but we all felt BLAH! Charlie kept getting warmer and warmer and sure enough he was sick, sore throat and running a fever of 101.7.
Well after missing work we head to the dr and he has strep throat. So I miss the rest of this week to take care of him, finally get him well and no fever for 24hrs and now Alison is sick. So again we are staying home and cuddling on the couch. I hope she feels better ASAP, I have to go to work on Monday....
